In accordance with the U.S. President Obama “women still earn on average only about 75% for every dollar a man earns” (Homowitz). It means that there is a huge discrepancy, and that it is the major task of the U.S. government to provide equal pay and reduce gender gaps in our society. Although there are many laws in the USA that protect the rights of women, discrimination against women does exist. The U.S. government should pay more attention to the issue on the gender gaps in our society.
